About the family

For a warm, enterprising family with two young boys aged 5 and 3) and a baby on the way (June 2026), we are looking for a committed, caring and flexible Nanny. The family lives in a cozy neighborhood in Amsterdam - Zuid with a playground in front of the door. The oldest son goes to group 2 and is an active, sensitive boy who loves reading, playing outside and being with friends. The 2-year-old boy is a happy, cuddly toddler who currently still goes to daycare four days a week.

The parents are at the beginning of an intense period: father will undergo surgery for a brain tumor and then start a course of chemotherapy. At the same time, they are expecting their third child at the end of June. The family is therefore looking for someone who brings peace, warmth and stability.

The position

As a Nanny, you are the stable factor in the family. You support the family both practically and emotionally and ensure that daily life continues to run smoothly. You offer structure, peace and cosiness and are there with full attention for the children. The family is looking for someone who "feels what is needed", a warm, loving and independent person with a big heart for children.

Work

For the children:

• Drop off and pick up from school and daycare.
• Provide a warm, safe atmosphere at home.
• Playing outside, doing crafts, reading and cuddling.
• Help with food, bath and bed routine.

Housekeeping and organizational support:

• Cooking and preparing meals.
• Laundry and light household chores.
• Grocery shopping and keeping the house presentable.
• Logistical support;
• Occasional support for father during his recovery period at home;

Who we are looking for.

An experienced, warm and proactive Nanny who does her job with love and dedication. You have a big heart for children, see work ahead and love overview and structure. You understand what it means to help a family through an intensive period, and you can sense well what is needed.

Profile:

• Educational background or extensive experience as a Nanny.
• Loving, patient and warm in character.
• Independent, responsible and practical minded.
• Experience with babies is a plus but not a requirement.
• Living within 30 minutes travel time from Amsterdam;

What do we offer?

• A meaningful position within a warm family.
• A stable workplace for one year (with possibility of extension).
• A part-time work week of approximately 30 hours spread over 4-5 days.
• Opportunity for occasional weekend work and travel along during vacations.
• Salary indication between 3500-4500 euros p.m. (based on 40 hours)
• Coaching and mentoring through The Family Assistant.
