'More than a school' The International School Eindhoven serves the expatriate community and Dutch and non- Dutch families arriving or moving overseas. We are a centre for the expatriate and Dutch community and provide support for families and education for children. The ISE Campus is an establishment that welcomes and invites the local community to share the international experience.
The ISE mission is to educate resilient, confident, self-motivated and creative students, who are internationally minded and accepting of individual differences, and who will be inspired to develop their learning and acheive their potential. The school vision is of a purposeful and focused learning community based on respect where all are engaged in a co-operative, challenging and enjoyable learning experience. We challenge and support students from a wide range of national, cultural, linguistic and educational backgrounds to achieve personal excellence whilst developing as independent learners. What can you expect from us?

  • A temporary replacement appointment starting from March 2026;
  • Salary grading takes place in salary scale 10 (min. € 3.326,- max € 5.520,-) regarding collective agreement for secondary education (CAO VO);
  • Excellent benefit conditions including 8.33% year-end bonus, training opportunities, ABP Pension and various voluntary participation in collective insurances;
  • An opportunity to join a very well established IB world school which serves students with over more than 55 different nationalities;

This is what we ask of you

  • You have a relevant degree, are eligible to work in the EU and you have a DUO recognized teaching qualification;
  • An understanding and knowledge of different cultural backgrounds;
  • A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team;
  • Willingness to embrace the conceptual approach and innovative practices of the IB MYP;
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues across different Humanities disciplines;
  • Skill in using differentiation effectively to support students with varying abilities in the classroom.

The job

As a Student Counsellor, you work closely with individual students to develop, implement, and monitor tailored support plans that address their academic, social, and emotional needs. You contribute to an inspiring and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow, thrive, and achieve success.

You collaborate daily with parents, teachers, and external professionals such as psychologists and medical specialists to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to student wellbeing and progress. Drawing on your strong knowledge of child development, including psychosocial and behavioural development, you apply a broad range of counselling strategies and techniques to guide decision-making, encourage positive behavioural change, and effectively monitor student progress.

You maintain an open-door policy and are available to provide immediate or emergency support when required. In moments of crisis, you remain calm, professional, and solution-focused. You are self-motivated, well-organised, and skilled in communication, conflict management, and the coordination of effective support and development plans, always placing the wellbeing of the student at the centre of your work.
