Functieomschrijving

For a warm and busy family, living in Amsterdam-Zuid, we are looking for an experienced and independent Rota Nanny. Their first child is expected in January. The father works full-time outside the home; the mother works full-time, partly from home and travels regularly for work. Starting at six months, the baby will attend daycare two days a week. During vacations, the Nanny will travel with them.

The position

As a Rota Nanny, you will work on a 2-week-on / 2-week-off schedule. During your working weeks you live with the family and are responsible for the daily care, safety and development of the baby. After two weeks the care is taken over by a second Nanny.

The family is looking for someone who is proactive, experienced and independent, someone who sees what needs to be done, takes initiative and brings structure. The parents appreciate a Nanny who exudes calmness, is flexible and is used to working within a family that is in a lot of flux.

Work

• Care and guidance of the baby;
• Willing (if necessary) to take over care of the baby during several nights a week.
• Creating structure, rhythm and a safe, stimulating environment;
• Preparing and cooking meals;
• Light housekeeping support, inventory management and shopping;
• Traveling along during vacations;
• Transfer and cooperation with the second Nanny within the rota system;

Profile of the candidate

• Demonstrated experience with infants/newborns (preferably in a similar role)
• Quiet, independent and reliable personality;
• Proactive and entrepreneurial, sees what is needed without much direction;
• Communicatively strong and open in coordination;

Work schedule & conditions

• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (live-in during work weeks)
• Start: January 2026;
• Duration: long-term;
• Travel: yes;
• Salary indication 3500-4500 euros gross per month based on 40 hours.
• (This is a full monthly salary despite working two weeks per month).

The Ideal Nanny

The ideal candidate has experience with babies, works independently and has a good sense of what a family needs without much explanation. She brings structure, calm and warmth, is service-oriented and feels at home in a dynamic family situation.
