Who we are

We are an IB continuum school offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). We are a communtiy of around 1100 students and 185 staff members from all over world. ISU is a member of the Dutch International Schools (DIS), a group of government- subsidised schools providing internationally oriented primary and/or secondary education. As such, ISU is part of two collaborating school boards, SPO Utrecht (primary) and Nuovo Scholen (secondary).

Vacancy

The International School Utrecht is looking to recruit an enthusiastic International Baccalaureate MYP and DP Visual Arts teacher.

Qualifications and experience:

• A Teaching degree Visual Arts (eerstegraads)
• A minimum of 3 years experience teaching IB MYP/DP
• Knowledge of the new DP VA syllabus (2026 onwards)

Preferably a fully qualified teacher status to teach MYP/DP in secondary education and in accordance with the standards required by the Dutch education authorities (DUO) The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:

• Appropriate technology skills to support his/her subject teaching
• Willingness to work closely and collaboratively in a strong team
• Demonstrates professionalism, commitment, integrity, and perseverance
• Be culturally competent with an internationally minded attitude
• Native/near-native level spoken and written English language
