Functieomschrijving

International School Delft Secondary – Cover Teacher / Teaching Assistant

• 0.5 FTE vacancy – per 1 August 2026

Join us at International School Delft Secondary as a Cover Teacher / Teaching Assistant (0.5 FTE) and play an important role in supporting student learning and wellbeing. If you enjoy working with young people in an international environment and value structure, calm, and positive relationships, we would be delighted to hear from you.

International School Delft Secondary offers the full IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP). In this role, you will supervise students in the study area and quiet study spaces, supporting productive and focused learning. In addition, you will be on call to provide classroom cover during your scheduled working hours.

We are seeking a flexible and reliable professional who is preferably available for 3–4 days per week (shorter days rather than full days).

You bring:

Experience working with secondary-aged students, or a strong interest in doing so

The ability to supervise and support students in an independent learning environment

Flexibility and confidence to cover lessons when required

Strong communication and organisational skills

A calm, supportive, and professional approach

A willingness to engage with the wider school community

• A position for 0.5 FTE – spread over 3-4 days (1.0 FTE is 40 hrs/wk)

As with all Secondary Education appointments in The Netherlands, this is a 12-month temporary appointment with a view to a permanent contract, if all the conditions are met.
