For the upcoming school year, we are seeking a physical education teacher who is able to stimulate our students to excel in the realm of sports. As a member of our international department for physical education you will give classes to our diverse student population. Physical Education Teacher Vacancy

We work together professionally to challenge every student with focused attention to bring out the best in themselves at their level. All classes in the lower grades and classes in the bilingual stream of our upper grades are taught in English. Therefore, proficiency in the English language is important. Can you multitask while still maintaining an overview? Are you not only a team player on the field or in the gym but also beyond? Are you eager to take the lead when it comes to broad educational development? Do you have the enthusiasm and energy to take on this challenge? Then we are looking for you!

What We Require from You:

• You have a degree as a PE Teacher (or are currently studying for it);
• you have an affinity for teaching students who are a reflection of Rotterdam society;
• you are a sports related didactic talent and open to innovation and developments;
• you ensure a safe learning environment and are able to maximize a student’s potential;
• you are good at classroom management and creative in executing the curriculum;
• you are able to effectively convey the subject matter and guide and coach students in achieving their learning goals;
• your digital skills are up to date;
• you have an advantage if you hold a Cambridge C2 Proficiency certificate (or equivalent) or if you are willing to obtain one;
• you enjoy developing activities for students in an international context;
• you are willing to become a coach of a group of students in one of the teams;
• you speak English well so that you can easily communicate with your English-speaking colleagues and teach in English;
• you have excellent communication skills and are able to communicate at a high level with students, parents, and colleagues.
