Vacancy Mathematics Teacher

We are looking for a mathematics teacher who will teach classes in both the lower and upper secondary levels of HAVO and VWO. For this reason, it is essential that you have a strong command of the English language, as our lower secondary lessons are taught in English.

Preferably, you hold a first-degree teaching qualification in mathematics, or you are in the final phase of completing your training. As a mathematics teacher, you work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. At the same time, you are a team player who seeks connection with students and colleagues within the department. You demonstrate professionalism and contribute—through your expertise and knowledge—to the continuous improvement of learning processes. You play an important role in guiding students toward strong academic results. You are passionate about mathematics, enjoy inspiring students for the subject, and like helping students progress in a subject they often find challenging.

Temporary Replacement for Mathematics and Numeracy Lessons.

Due to long-term absence caused by illness and internal staffing changes, a position has become available within the mathematics department. You will fill this gap by teaching, among others: Lower secondary VWO (in English), HAVO 4 and VWO 4 (both Mathematics A and B) and several hours of numeracy to two HAVO 4 groups Since you will be stepping into an existing timetable, we strongly prefer that you are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This appointment is temporary and will last until the end of the school year. It is possible that the absent colleague may partially return earlier, which could affect the size of your appointment.

• You hold a first-degree qualification in Mathematics, or you are currently studying for it;

• You actively contribute to subject-specific educational development;

• Your spoken and written English skills are excellent;
• A Cambridge C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency certificate (or equivalent) is an advantage;
