Omschrijving organisatie

Onder de Laurentius Stichting ressorteren 27 scholen voor basis- en speciaal basisonderwijs, 1 praktijkschool (voortgezet onderwijs) en 1 school voor internationaal basisonderwijs (ISD). Er werken 900 medewerkers samen aan het katholiek onderwijs voor meer dan 9000 leerlingen uit Bergschenhoek, Berkel en Rodenrijs, Delft, Den Haag, Den Hoorn, Nootdorp en Rijswijk. Directies worden ondersteund door een College van Bestuur en een stafbureau. Deze worden bijgestaan door het administratiekantoor Pro Management Onderwijs Support, dat de personele- en financiële administratie verzorgt.
De Laurentius Stichting wil bijzónder goed onderwijs bieden, vanuit de katholieke grondslag. Ons onderwijs stimuleert de ontwikkeling van kinderen tot mensen die leven en werken vanuit een grondhouding waarin een blijvende oriëntatie plaatsvindt op de waarden in de katholieke traditie. Mensen met hoop en vertrouwen in elkaar en in de toekomst. Samen met leerlingen, ouders/verzorgers en leerkrachten bouwen we binnen de Laurentius Stichting aan gemeenschappen waar, in een veilige en opbouwende leef- en werkomgeving, ieder het beste tot zijn recht kan komen. Due to a long-term absence, International Primary School Delft is looking for a Cover

Teacher Physical Education (0.8 FTE = 4 days per week) to teach students across the

  • primary school, from Early Years through to Upper Primary.

We are looking for a teacher whose experience, enthusiasm and passion for physical

  • education will inspire our children. You have experience teaching a broad range of age
  • groups and can create an inclusive, engaging and challenging learning environment
  • where every child can develop confidence, teamwork, resilience and a lifelong
  • appreciation of physical activity.

International School Delft is an IB World School, offering the Primary Years Programme

(IB PYP) in the Primary School, the Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and Diploma

Programme (IB DP) in the Secondary School.

The Role

The Physical Education Teacher will:

  • Teach PE lessons across the Primary School, from Early Years to Upper Primary.
  • Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate physical education
  • programmes.
  • Be responsible for the planning, delivery and assessment of thePSPE (Personal,

Social and Physical Education) curriculum.

  • Promote student wellbeing, physical development and healthy lifestyles.
  • Teach in both the school's on-site facilities and the excellent sports facilities
  • available through the TU Delft campus.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and support staff to enhance
  • student learning and wellbeing.
  • Be supported by a PE Teaching Assistant on several teaching days.

Qualifications

Teaching staff should have:

  • A teaching qualification recognised by the Dutch authorities, or eligibility for

  • A qualification and/or experience in Physical Education teaching.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Experience in international education or IB schools is welcomed.
  • Additional qualifications in coaching, sports leadership or wellbeing
  • programmes are an advantage.
