Bovendien is de Stichting, als "bevoegd gezag", eindverantwoordelijk voor de kwaliteit van het onderwijs.
Ze legt daarover verantwoording af aan het ministerie van Onderwijs en de onderwijsinspectie. In het kader van de verticale verantwoording wordt het jaarverslag besproken met verschillende belanghebbenden zoals de beide gemeenschappelijke medezeggenschapsraden op stichtingsniveau en de medezeggenschapsraden en ouderraden op schoolniveau.

Early Years teacher for the English Section

European School The Hague Primary

Working pattern: 1 FTE. The position is available on a 1-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent role upon successful completion of a positive appraisal and DUO recognition. The initial contract will end on 31/07/2026. Start date: 1 August 2025 | Closing date: 7 May 2025

Since opening in 2012, our Early Years and Primary school provides young learners with a dynamic, multicultural and multilingual environment in which to play, grow, learn and develop in accordance with the European Curriculum. Early Years and Primary education at our school consists of two years of the Early Years cycle and five years of the Primary cycle.

Pupils undertake the majority of their learning in their own language section. To encourage playing and learning together, and to facilitate multicultural and cross-cultural friendships, a number of lessons are organised in mixed language groups.

Requirements

Fully qualified teacher status to teach in Primary Education, in the country the qualification is obtained If you completed your studies in the UK/Ireland: you have been awarded QTS/SFR or equivalent and have successfully completed -or are exempt from- the statutory induction period Experience in teaching the age group of 4-6

Native English speaker

Experience in international or intercultural education Innovative and versatile with good organisational skills Active contribution to school development in general Excellent social and communication skills Knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage

An appointment based on the Dutch teachers’ collective labour agreement (CAO PO) for primary education LB minimum €3463,- and maximum €5277,-. The specific step in the scale is depending on relevant background and experience.
