De Stichting staat voor kwaliteit van onderwijs Alle medewerkers van de Stichting Het Rijnlands Lyceum spannen zich in om de beste leeromgeving voor onze leerlingen te scheppen. De Stichting draagt hierin een belangrijke verantwoordelijkheid die verder reikt dan besturen of toezicht houden alleen.
De Stichting draagt zorg voor een gezonde financiële huishouding, goede huisvesting voor leerlingen en medewerkers, professionele leergemeenschappen, het werven van enthousiast en kundig personeel en facilitering op het gebied van ICT. Bovendien is de Stichting, als "bevoegd gezag", eindverantwoordelijk voor de kwaliteit van het onderwijs.
Ze legt daarover verantwoording af aan het ministerie van Onderwijs en de onderwijsinspectie. In het kader van de verticale verantwoording wordt het jaarverslag besproken met verschillende belanghebbenden zoals de beide gemeenschappelijke medezeggenschapsraden op stichtingsniveau en de medezeggenschapsraden en ouderraden op schoolniveau.

About the Role

As a Teacher of History, Human Science and Ethics, you will:

Deliver engaging lessons, in German, to students aged 11-18, following the European Baccalaureate curriculum.
Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student’s talent is nurtured.
Collaborate with a team of passionate educators to support a thriving Human Science and History programme.
Assess students’ progress through formative and summative evaluations, including coursework, oral presentations, and written exams.
Collaborate with colleagues in the humanities departments to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences.
Attend and participate in departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and European School-related training.
Full training and support will be provided to help the right candidate adapt to the requirements of the European Baccalaureate curriculum

What We’re Looking For

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History (First-degree/Eerste graads) and full teaching qualification for Secondary Education (recognized by the Dutch Education Authorities (DUO).
Ability to teach in German, (minimum C2 level).
Ability to speak good English for daily communication. Part of the interview will be in English.
The ability to speak other European languages is desirable, but not essential. There could be a possiblity to additionally teach in English, Dutch or French for a suitable candidate.
Experience teaching students aged 11-18, ideally in international or intercultural settings.
A creative, inclusive approach to teaching and a willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
